They have good specialists engine and electrical knowledge and I feel I can trust them with all my routine maintenance and non-routine issues. Liz has grown the chandlery side and it is massively convenient to be able to pick up those odd boaty bits and pieces .

We were very happy in using Above The Brine. They are a great independent business and are clearly experienced and care about their work. They were thorough, all very friendly, always had time to discuss the yacht and give advice freely. Simon and Harry went out of their way to identify the problem with our fuel pump and to source a reconditioned one, a previous engineer elsewhere had fitted a replacement which leaked fuel into the engine and could have caused the engine to seize. They fixed a stanchion leak etc too. Overall they were great value for money, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

My power boat had been in the water for 20 months. Simon arranged for it to be lifted out, bottom power washed, cleaned and anti foul, props scrubbed and polished, blue hull cleaned and polished, anodes and some minor jell coat repairs. I was given expert guidance on the process and products used. The jobs were carried out perfectly and I was kept informed throughout. I was perfectly satisfied with the haul out, launch and all the jobs. Excellent thank you.

My outboard engine failed as I was leaving my berth. ATB arranged for their engineer to investigate the problem but this couldn’t be addressed whilst the boat was on the water. They arranged therefore for the boat to be recovered to their trailer in the yard and the engineer diagnosed and repaired the defect - failed fuel pump - and returned the boat to its berth. All while I was on away on holiday - excellent service!

Exceptionally friendly establishment. I bought some rope from the really welcoming owner. I also have Ulcerative Colitis and was in need of a bathroom Urgently and the owner let me use the staff bathroom. I am always grateful if a business does this as it makes going out less stressful for me
