A stand-out hotel, lovely staff and service, great drinks and breakfast, awesome rooms with the widest beds. No hesitation recommending it. Friday Drinks. We had a few cocktails and other drinks before heading into town. It was perfect, with great table service. The three staff behind the bar were very attentive, nothing too much trouble even including coming up with 2 custom cocktails to suit our tastes on a very hot evening. Breakfast. We spent a happy couple of hours in a booth with the papers. The nicest breakfast experience we've had in a very long time, it made our morning just as significant as the evening before. A novel concept these days: no buffet. Instead a great menu with something for everyone and all served a la carte with great service. Everything from freshly squeezed orange juice to light healthy dishes, traditional English breakfast or in my case Skakshuka: baked eggs with spinach broccoli Greek yoghurt and chilli. Saturday afternoon. Returned after shopping, jaded and thirsty. The same three bar staff from Friday night were on hand to liven us up with hot and cold drinks. Night Team. Biggest thanks go to Omar and Ben for being so helpful, I couldn't sleep and hung out in reception for a couple of hours early Sat morning so as not to disturb the wife. Reception. Smooth check in and out, plus after checkout left our bags for most of the day to go shopping. Have stayed in many luxury hotels around the UK, Abode surpasses the majority of them in all aspects, particularly the staff and the service they provide. Rooms: Lovely rooms, great furniture and plenty of space, the widest bed I've ever seen Nearby activities: 5 minutes walk down the ramp from piccadilly Station. Access to all the day and night experiences Manchester has to offer. Bars, restaurants, clubs. Taxi rank across the road. Walkability: Easy to walk from to all aspects of the city centre. Manchester is laid out in a fairly square footprint, Abode is in one corner so perfectly placed. Five minutes walk from piccadilly Station for trains or trams. A few minutes walk to all the shopping areas, bars, restaurants, the arts, music venues and night clubs, museums and galleries plus all the cool spaces in the city - eg northern quarter, Spinningfields, Ancoats, the gay village etc etc. A professional walking tour of the city goes from 150 yards away close to piccadilly Gardens metrolink station. Food & drinks: First class drinks service in the bar, great choice of beers, cocktails, wines plus numerous alcohol free options. Breakfast - genuinely the nicest breakfast experience in the city - see longer review above

An elegant and cool hotel. Has the charm of the old factory building with the practical aspects of a modern hotel. Loved the room and location. Breakfast was good with healthy options and reasonable portions. When we had a small technical issue in our room the staff was quick to fix it. Everyone we interacted with was nice and helpful. Check out was very quick.

Very helpful staff and great breakfasts Rooms: Magnificent suites Walkability: Walking distance from Piccadilly Station, and the bus and tram stops in Piccadilly Gardens. Easy to walk to all the central delights of Manchester, especially the Northern Quarter
