Right in the centre, there are only a few parking spaces at the rear at an eyewatering £18 for an overnights stay. Rear rooms look out over roof but quiet . Nearby activities: Cafés for breakfast walkabout .. Walkability: Right on the centre street.

Recently my wife and I stayed here to attend a works event being held in the hotel. Couldn’t fault it, room was clean and fresh, atmosphere was relaxed, staff were friendly and the food was excellent. On top of that, the location is perfect, as it’s right in the heart of Canterbury.

Stay at the Abode regularly, always my go-to in Canterbury. A lovely hotel throughout, lovely stuff and the location is unbeatable. The rooms could do with updating in places, not quite as luxury as they once were. Great cocktails in the bar though!

This hotel will zap your energy. It's trading on former glories with a lukewarm welcome, lacklustre bar and overpriced mediocre food. There are other options in the city which are significantly better and understand hospitality.

This is a nice traditional hotel with great service, very decent food and a nice atmosphere. It is located absolutely central to all of the towns attractions. The room was larger than expected but with a tiny bathroom. Some of the fixtures and fittings were looking tired and well worn. Lots of quirky and non generic features given the age and style of the building. The downside. Parking is just awful. Not just that there isn't enough, but that for some reason they are content to significantly over book the spaces to the point that over 3 days my car was parked for only about 7 hours... At a cost of 54 pounds!!!! Needless to say I managed to get that refunded, but I don't need that hassle and I don't expect to pay for something and not get it!! Very very poor! Decent hotel for the price, but if you want simplicity maybe head out of town for your Canterbury hotel.
