We had a level 3 survey done by Able Surveyors (Jack) and have to say that the level of service is excellent, not only is the survey very detailed, professional and easy to understand, we had the headlines back the same day and the full report within a few days. Also within the full report there is a guidance of price for any work that might need to be undertaken. After the full survey we sent the estate agents/vendor issues that we felt needed to be addressed, we sent their reply to Jack who contacted us to go through any follow up questions we had. Everyone that we have dealt with in this company have been professional and courteous, would highly recommend Able Surveyors.

We've had 3 building surveys carried out by Able Surveyors, all done by Rishi Nehru. We found Able to be a great firm to deal with: responsive, caring, honest, with a quick turnaround time. The office staff could not have been more efficient and helpful. Our surveyor Rishi Nehru was highly professional, knowledgeable and thorough - meticulous in his attention to detail and really generous with his time and expertise. He understood our needs, explained things very clearly and provided advice and detailed cost guidance which helped us to make good decisions. Able was recommended to us by friends, and we in turn have recommended Able to others.

Not impressed. Worked out that the buyer of my property used Able and so did we on our onward purchase. Turns out same surveyor did both surveys. He found in both instances a crack that he said indicated movement and needed monitoring to see if progressive. Both our buyer and ourselves engaged specialist structural engineers to assess cracks and neither properties were found to have any issues. The Able surveyor advised me that he didn't think this would work and progressive monitoring is only way to be sure. Turns out that progressive crack monitoring is a service offered by Able, therefore seems to be they find a small issue and recommend a service they offer to fix the issue. Not impartial. Cost both parties extra hundreds of pounds unnecessarily.

I used Able Surveyors on a friend's recommendation, for a Level 3 Building survey on a mid-terrace Victorian house. They were very communicative when providing quotes / arranging the survey and accurate with time frames. I was very impressed that the surveyor called me during the survey to check if we still wanted the drone survey I had booked, as they could see work needed doing to the roof from the ground. The company then refunded the money paid for the drone survey part of the payment. We received a summary report on the day of the survey and the full report within three working days. The survey was comprehensive, included pictures throughout and has given us a good indication of work needed on the house. Another contractor we consulted said it was one of the better surveys they'd seen, and they'd be unlikely to be able to say anything more. Everyone I was in contact with was a pleasure to deal with, would recommend.
