Awesome experience tonight at Abeno where despite the last minute phone call, we managed to get a 5:30 reservation. I can see why this place is always booked and super popular - not only is the service dedicated and kind, the food is fresh and so, so tasty. We sampled a variety of small plates such as the kaarage, tempura and gyoza before trying the okonomiyaki, made fresh right in-front of us. It’s not cheap (£110 for two adults and one child) but it’s great quality, fresh food that is so enjoyable. Highly recommend.

The only place in London (that I know of) that serves Japanese okonomiyaki on table top. They cook the pancakes right in front of your eyes! Would recommend to book a table in advance.

Went on a Friday lunchtime and had no issues getting a table. Staff were friendly and attentive, and keen to share their knowledge of the menu if asked. Started with rice balls and for such a simple dish they were superb, so I had high hopes for the main course. They didn't disappoint! Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked, including their signature okonomiyaki prepared on the griddle plate in front of you. Highly recommended and will definitely go back again.

We had a lovely dinner at Abeno. The okonomiyaki were very good. The normal ones are big enough for 1 person but if course if you are hungry get the bigger version. Mine had some kimchi and while it was not spicy you could still taste the fermented cabbage. Great service with extremely friendly staff.

Excellent, authentic Japanese food. The staff was lovely & the Yalu Soba was as well. Having some dishes prepared directly in front of you on the hot plate is a fun touch. Would absolutely return!

Giving up on this place. Tried making dinner reservations the weekend before, all booked. Tried going for lunch. Reservations only (though they made me wait before telling me). The okonomiyaki I saw them making didn't seem that great - a bit small. Going to go back to making it at home when I get the craving. Another thing to note is that it is hard to find - their name is on the awning and a clapboard (easy to miss when walking on the same side of the street). I walked up and down multiple times before finding. I guess they're purposefully trying to reduce walk ins
