1 star because can't give 0. Delivery driver was shocking, he made my wife hold sofa on stairs for 10 minutes then shouted at her because she didn't have strength to help him carry it. When I raised a complaint they dismissed it and fobbed me off. Update, after commenting on my experience on their facebook page they have blocked me!!!!

I purchased two sofas, the Ingrid 2 seater and cuddle chair, from Abakus Direct on 9th August 2022. On 13th August, the delivery drivers arrived. They told me one of the sofas was damaged and I should refuse delivery of both, because the second sofa had a damaged box. So, I followed their advice. I then waited 10 days for replacement sofas to be delivered having to sit on the floor for these 10 days. Once received, I thought the sofas seemed ok. They were of cheap quality build compared to my previous DFS sofa, the back cushions were not filled properly and were saggy, the wooden slats could be felt through the base of the sofa, the stitching was not aligned properly in some places. However, I was not expecting amazing quality for the price. After a few months, I noticed the seat cushions weren't holding their shape after sitting on them and would sink when sat on (I weigh 9 stone). This was quite embarrassing when guests would stand up leaving a large dip in the sofa. After 5 months, I noticed a hole in the stitching on one of the back cushions. So, I sent an email on 24th February to Abakus Direct to report the problem, along with photo evidence. I received no response. 7 emails later and after mentioning Trustpilot in an email, I quickly received a response on 7th March claiming they sent me an email the day before (there were no emails in my inbox or junk folder). They said they would send a replacement cushion within 5 working days. I received the replacement cushion on 25th March, 13 working days later. The cushion I received was in worse condition than that with the hole in. There were loose threads on the seams, and the filling did not fill the cushion, leaving it sagging at the sides. I complained about the quality of the cushion on 25th March, sending photo evidence and I have been waiting for a response ever since. I am now left with two faulty back cushions, two sofas with such poor quality seat foam that they have permanent indentations and sink like a very old sofa when sat on. The sofa fabric bobbles very easily ( have had to purchase a lint remover). Bearing in mind, the sofas are only 7 months old! Unfortunately, I had failed to realise before purchasing the sofas, that all the positive reviews I had read, were written on receipt of delivery. What I didn't notice, were the negative reviews, which were written once customers had the sofas for a few months, many having similar experiences to mine. If you are reading this review and are considering purchasing a sofa from Abakus Direct, then I would recommend you read reviews from customers, like me, who have owned the sofas for a few months (not a few days) because the sofas I am stuck with have deteriorated so quickly, they are worse than my previous sofa was when it was 15 years old. Again, please bear in mind the sofa is only 7 months old! I have never written a review on Google, because any problems I have with purchases are usually resolved. But not with Abakus Direct, they will ignore emails, do not answer the phone and seem not to care about customer service. I hope this review will save someone from experiencing the same problems I have endured with this company. My advice would be to buy a sofa from a reputable company, Abakus Direct is not one of them. UPDATE: 17th May 2023. I received a replacement back cushion and seat cushion for the cuddle chair with no contact from Abakus Direct. The back cushion was so overfilled, I couldn't sit comfortably on the chair! I unzipped the cushion cover and found the cushion to be stuffed with foam offcuts, including tiny pieces of plastic ( see photo). It doesn't seem very fire safe. Now I am stuck with 2 back cushions and a seat cushion, which I no longer need. Abakus Direct did not offer to take them back and obviously expect me to dispose of them.

Fully recommend this company. I ordered my new sofa on Sunday evening at 8pm, was happy with 3 week turn around but amazing suprise on Tuesday when I got a delivery notice thar my sofa will be with me Thursday. I was kept updated all day on where my sofa was and how far away the driver was. My new sofa is beautiful and so comfy. Would give 6 stars if they had them on here.

Like a typical shady car dealer... with furniture My missus bought a sofa from these, after 2weeks looked like its 10years old, its OK i said, we cover it, and shave with textile shaver, then about 6months later one of the seats particleboard cracked, we asked for replacement, under their alleged 10year warranty. They accepted the "claim" then keept saying they will deliver it next week. After 2months later still no replacement. Going to chuck this useless rubish Edit: Order #000017860 This is not facebook market its a review.

I had in mind what I was looking for but viewing the sofas on the website I was spoilt for choice. I ordered the Chicago corner sofa and chair in dark blue, easy to order and a fantastic price below my original budget. I was anxious that the colour wouldn't be the same as in the picture online but on arrival I was over the moon, the colour is identical. The delivery driver Chris was fantastic and is a credit to your team, he bought the sofas into the living room, explained how easy it was to put the feet on and clip the corner sofa together and he was correct is was very simple! From start to finish, the experience has been easy, placing the order, receiving confirmation, been kept upto date by text and email to organise a delivery date, even on the delivery day I was able to track the delivery driver and received a phone call when he was on his way. The sofa was ready to be delivered 2 days after placing the order but unfortunately wasn't convenient for me so they simply arranged a day the following week that suited me. Seems comfy enough so far and well built. I am very pleased and have already recommended this company to family and friends.
