Took my daughter's electric piano to this shop for a broken key to be repaired. Said to leave it with them as they have a guy who can look at it for me. Two weeks later I hadn't heard anything so called and was told "I was meant to call you. It came back this morning but I'm not sure if it can't be fixed or is uneconomical to fix and would be cheaper to buy a new one." Went to pick it up to find the piano and power adapter were in exactly the same spot I left them 2 weeks earlier and was asked to pay a "bench fee" of £35 for the man's time for looking at it. This had not been agreed/explained when I dropped it off. They wanted £35 to tell me they can't fix it. I've taken it to Penarth music centre who repaired it for me in less than a week for £80. A lot less than buying a new one.

Had this Fender Jazzmaster for a while now. I changed the pick-up, but it’s one of the most solid guitars I’ve ever owned. The customer service and great deals I’ve had from the A Strings team is unbeatable. I’ve had so many guitars off them and no issues at all. Would recommend 10/10

I have visited AStrings numerous times over a few years, and purchased many guitars, pedals and other equipment from the store. I have also had work carried out on a number of guitars all done to a very high standard. I find the team to be very helpful, friendly and a visit is generally an unrushed experience with little pressure, which is in stark contrast to some other music stores. The store has an ever expanding range of guitars, accessories and keyboards and stock many major brands. The store also stocks examples of the higher end items that some of the brands have to offer. The try before you buy experience, which is so very valuable to some musicians is very good, want to bring a pedal to try with a specific guitar, do it, want to bring your favourite guitar to try with a pedal you have in mind, do that too. Very flexible.

Great music shop, with very knowledgeable and friendly ‘no pressure’ staff. I’ve bought several basses, acoustic guitars and amps over the last few years from this shop and always had great customer service both when trying guitars and with any after sales service. As an independent shop, I feel Andrew and the A Strings team go the extra mile for their customers.

Popped into A Strings on Saturday and came out with a Gibson 60’s Les Paul 🤭🎸 Such an outstanding shop. In fact it’s probably the best I’ve ever been to ! Even my wife enjoyed the visit. Such nice people in there. Will definitely return based on the service received. Thanks Andrew for all your help. Can’t wait to come back and visit. Just like to say, what a great shop and great guys the staff are at AStrings. Since taking in my first guitar to be serviced 3 years ago to buying a lovely Gibson Les Paul just 2 weeks ago, I’ve had nothing but the best service from the shop. The staff have become good friends to me, I have lessons with Adam and call in frequently for a catch up and a brew and to check out the latest stock. I can’t recommend this store enough, I couldn’t imagine a better place to buy a guitar/ equipment than AStrings, many thanks Meurig.
