Unfortunately I have had multiple bad experiences with A Little Sweet. I asked for quote on an eggless and soy free wedding cake. Not only did the quote seem pricey for what I was being offered, but I was also told that in order to make an eggless cake, the texture is going to be dry and hard. When I asked for a sample, I was offered a 4" x 6" cake for £38. I'm not sure why anyone in their right mind would think that I'd pay £38 for a small, dry and hard cake... Ultimately my mother in law, who doesn't even claim to be a professional baker, ended up baking our eggless cake and it was not dry or hard. I decided to give A Little Sweet a second chance and went in store to try their egg waffles, egg tart and pineapple bun. The egg waffles were pretty standard but overpriced, Wazushi dessert room has egg waffles with the ice cream for much cheaper, and they taste just as good if not better. The pineapple bun was very disappointing, it didn't taste like authentic Asian buns (Wong Wong bakery does a much better job here) but even if I look past the authenticity, it tasted less like a bun and felt more like eating a loaf of cheap bread, it was hard, dry and hard with a very rough texture. Taste was bland too. The crust was also bland and very thin so didn't add much to the texture. I also found a random lemon seed in the bag that had my pineapple bun. I was also refused tap water and instead they tried to sell me bottled water. I have never been refused tap water in the UK before. I assume they're not a licensed cafe, otherwise they'd be breaking a UK law. I should add, it is extremely arrogant to mention that the chef is a celebrity chef and has worked in Michelin starred restaurants, and 5 star hotels in some of the negative reviews. While it may work in HK, people in the UK care less about big names and more about the quality of food...and from my perspective, the chef has a lot of room for improvement. I'm surprised the celebrity chef is unable to make an eggless cake that isn't dry and hard. I've also had healthier versions of buns that can still taste light and fluffy, so I know it is possible to do.

I BROUGHT OVER £30 WORTH OF CAKES THE OWNER LIED TO ME SAYING THE BUN THAT i wanted was in the oven I need to wait 20 minutes, but after 5 minutes it was ready but in fact she got it of fridge which I had no idea of con people dont go here

Absolutely delicious cakes! Definitely will go there again. Friendly staff and a wonderful small business. With a talented professional chef behind them no wonder I’m craving more 😂. Is a little pricey for my own pockets but worth it and good in todays society. I had the chocolate and cherry one and the rum and chestnut cake.
