Phoned this company after discovering the theft of heating oil from our home tank. Our daughter is profoundly disabled and therefore vulnerable; I explained this to the man that answered the phone. He asked where I usually went for oil, and what did they say - I said I have previously used Boilerjuice. He explained, very carefully, that this was my fault and problem, because I didn't use a local provider (never mind that BJ use local companies to supply and act simply as a broker). He couldn't help me without letting someone else down and was not willing to do that, and said I should just call around. He said he felt bad because of my daughter, but I shouldn't give him guilt because of that (which I wasn't trying to do, just stressing the importance of it). I pointed out that he had made me feel guilt because of using an online broker. Unimpressed, and fuming - why on earth you would actually say to someone that the theft of their oil is their own fault is beyond my comprehension, never mind the rest of that ridiculous conversation. I would happily have switched to a local company for good but my experience this morning suggests they don't want my custom.
