We have been on the look out for a swimming instructor for our Son who has SEN. One of our friends referred Carl. We have been taking our son since the summer holidays. Carl is understanding our son’s needs so well and going at his pace. It’s difficult to find an instructor who understands our kids so well. We are glad that we found Carl.

I found out about carl through another SEN mum. We had tried taking our son swimming ourselves but was so difficult to teach him and we where struggling to get him to learn anything and the classes offered by the leisure centres were not suitable for my autistic child. I heard about carl and how good he was from many mothers,so i was pleased that there mite be someone who could help my son We booked 10 lessons during the summer like a crash course and my son benefited greatly ,I was super supriced how he was getting super comfortable in water and was learning so well, this was due to carl making it super comfortable for my son and making him feel safe in the water . His technique was helping my son and he is so Igor and happy to go swimming now As a SEN this means alot to me how my son is comfortable and in safe hands Carl is a great instructer and appreciate what he is doing for our kids. I have now continued to book further lessons with Carl and hope one day my son is able to swim.

Carl is brilliant, coming at his SEN lessons informed by his own experience of learning different, he is super patient, and adept at adapting lessons to meet the needs of each child in his class. He starts slowly, gently building them up to feel more confident not just at swimming, but reminding them that they can do anything. My son really enjoys his lessons. Highly recommended.
