A must visit restaurant every time we visit from Leeds. The quality of the food is fantastic. I enjoyed the Paneer Makhani which had a nice background heat, an awesome sauce and made with really well cooked paneer. My husband had the chicken dum biryani which he rates his favourite ever - the right level of dryness and moisture made with chicken thigh. I would highly recommend a visit as we have never been disappointed and the quality is fantastic. Vegetarian options: They have both comprehensive vegan and vegetarian options

Authentic Indian Cuisine at 400° in Sheffield: A Culinary Delight During a recent work trip to Sheffield, my colleagues and I had a strong craving for Indian tea after a long day. Thanks to the recommendation of a friendly local, we discovered 400°, a delightful restaurant that not only satisfied our tea cravings but also introduced us to an array of mouthwatering Indian dishes. The experience left us impressed with the hospitality, speed of service, and the flavorsome offerings. Here's a detailed review of our visit to 400°, a place that deserves recognition for its authentic Indian cuisine. Ambiance and Hospitality: Upon entering 400°, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, including a server who, like us, hailed from India. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting ambiance, creating a comfortable atmosphere for our dining experience. It was fascinating to learn that many Indian students work part-time here, adding to the authenticity of the place. The servers were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making us feel right at home. Culinary Exploration: Our server graciously recommended some must-try dishes, allowing us to delve into a delightful gastronomic journey. We started with papadum, crispy Indian snacks, accompanied by three delicious dips. These tantalizing appetizers set the stage for what was to come. We followed our server's suggestion and ordered samosa chaat, chicken tikka, fish fingers, and laal maans. Delicious Flavors and Quality: As the food arrived at our table, we were captivated by the aroma and presentation. The dishes looked enticing and lived up to our expectations. The chicken tikka and fish fingers were exceptional, with well-balanced flavors and tender textures. While the laal maans didn't surpass the taste of the original we had experienced in Rajasthan, it was still a flavorful rendition. The dishes showcased the chef's skill and commitment to preserving the authenticity of Indian cuisine. Service and Efficiency: One aspect that stood out at 400° was their impressive speed of service. Despite our large group of 17 people, the staff managed to serve us promptly without compromising on the quality of the food. The servers were attentive, ensuring that we had an enjoyable dining experience from start to finish. The efficiency of the team was commendable and contributed to our overall satisfaction. Value for Money: Considering the quality of the food, the warm hospitality, and the overall experience, the prices at 400° were reasonable. For our smaller group, the bill came to around £95, which we found quite fair. Even when we returned with a larger team of 17 people, our total bill of approximately £850 still felt justified given the fantastic service and delectable cuisine we enjoyed. Ownership and Accolades: An interesting aspect we discovered about 400° is that it is owned by a Punjabi, adding a personal touch to the restaurant's identity. Additionally, the talented chef, Sidharth Singh, hails from Rajasthan, India, and was recently honored with the prestigious Bharat Gaurav award. This recognition speaks volumes about the chef's expertise and further reinforces the authenticity and excellence of the cuisine served at 400°. Conclusion: Our visit to 400° in Sheffield left us delighted with the rich flavors and warm hospitality. The restaurant's dedication to offering authentic Indian cuisine, combined with the efficient service and inviting ambiance, made for a truly memorable experience. While the taste may not surpass that of India's finest establishments, 400° stands out as a remarkable option for those seeking a taste of Indian gastronomy in the UK. We highly recommend visiting this restaurant to satisfy your cravings for Indian food when in Sheffield. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food was alright. Will give it 3 out of 5. However, the service was too slow. I understand it will take longer than usual on a Saturday night but wasn't expecting it to take longer than an hour nor did the waiter apologies for it.

I have 2 verdict about this restaurant. First good things - Desert is good, they use authentic Indian cheese, chutni is good. Now the bad part - Hell expensive, papadom basket cost you around 5 / basket, quantity is way too less, the amount they charge is way to expensive. Main course is very average nothing great. If you think this review is not authentic then pls experience it yourself. At the end .. they add VAT additional on top of final bill.

Had a fairly enjoyable meal here. The server was very polite, making sure we had everything we needed. We did have to wait quite a while for our food considering we were the only people in the restaurant and not many people came in for deliveries, however this is understandable as the food is obviously cooked fresh. I had chicken pakora for my starter and enjoyed this a lot. For my main course, I had chicken tikka masala and this unfortunately did not taste much like a masala and had quite a kick to it when this is meant to be a mild dish. However, it was still fairly tasty.
