Great company. I know nothing about 3d printing! but 3dprintworks were very helpful and informative. The lady I spoke with on the phone a few times was brilliant. I randomly needed a replacement clip for my cat carrier (the carrier came with my rescue cat and I really wanted to keep the carrier for sentimental reasons rather than just buy a new one!) and they were able to print one for me and have it sent out. They are Lanarkshire based so pretty local to me (Airdrie) and the communication from them is excellent. Highly recommend 3dprintworks!

Bought a few batches of PLA from them all were very good. Bought 2 more couple of weeks ago: 1st was lighter in colour and every time it warped and cracked when printing the first layer of the roof, so high risk of pushing the print of the build surface. Phoned them they suggested printing at 225 degrees as "we print everything at 225 here". PLA is rated to 220 max and you get major stringing issues that high and forget bridges. The second one was the right colour but very badly wound and 1/3 of the way through the spool rose to 2mm thick wouldnt fit through Bowden tube trashed a print and nearly broke the printer. Contacted them they offered to send a label to return it or to send a replacement. I said to send a replacement if quality control had improved, but have heard nothing since.

I have used 3D print works for a while now, I first contacted them for some advice on making a model 3D print ready to which i was given more than enough information regarding this, i have since taken 3D printing up as a hobby and again I dropped by for help on my own printer as well as filament advice and model prep to which i was given high standard help and advice. I buy my filament from 3D print works as i believe that they produce a high standard product and also i trust this companies knowledge. Overall if your a professional or a hobbyist like my self 3D print works will go above and beyond to make sure your needs are seen to.

Brought simple 3d cup for possible quote and printing service. Business owner did not have the common decency to explain in person why it could not be done, leaving it to a rightly-mortified colleague to give a wholly unsatisfying "We don't do that". What kind of 3d printing service doesn't do 3d printing? I am leaving one star for the polite and helpful colleague I spoke with.
