They were 20 mins behind already by 1130. Manager said he'd find me around the store or put an announcement out whilst I waited. Neither happened. I returned for advised new slot at 12 to be told he'd given it to someone else and I'd have to wait another 30 minutes. Useless.

Husband went in the other day with the kids, left not feeling too happy at all, felt unattended to and very frustrating considering we’ve recently swapped opticians. Will be switching back.

Whilst the Optician staff and the test for my mother was very good. What they should have done was warn us, before we agreed to purchase the extra £25 photo test, that they had problems with their card machine and do not accept any cash. Also, we couldn't pay at any other till because they are separate companies. We had to use a paper system, which meant leaving financial details and signatures that you are normally advised not to share for financial security. We were not very happy about that, told the staff this. But we're told that was their procedure. In future I would check their payment ability before I made any purchases. Also would say no cash payment facilities for elderly is not good.
