Called on our way to Barnard Castle for lunch. Staff were great the food not the best. We had chicken and leek pie the chicken was fine, pastry top I didn't eat. The veg was not freshly cooked even though the chips looked homemade they didn't taste very fresh either. Ate it because I was hungry. Won't be calling for food again.

We stopped here for a break on a long drive South, the restaurant was lovely and the food looked great. We had coffee and cake and that was superb. This also has a small store and a gift shop. I think it is part of a caravan park, that has all sorts of activities to offer, but this had nothing to do with our visit. All in all a great stop over and right next to the main road south.

It always looks so nice on Instagram so we took the 30 minute drive to have lunch here. Was extremely disappointed food very over priced and not as described. No better than a supermarket bought sandwich for triple the price! wont be back!

Only popped in for a coffee and cake but the cafe was clean with very friendly staff. Got to say nest carrot cake I've ever had from here. Dog friendly is an absolute bonus.
