Ruth and Colin at Visioncare have literally changed my life. After a road accident left me with seriously debilitating brain fatigue, I'd all but lost hope of being able to get through a normal day again. The tints, prism and binasal strips Ruth prescribed are making a real difference already and I'm excited about the future for the first time in a long time. Thank you so much!

Excellent care. Vision Care changed my daughters life. Prior to her vision therapy treatment she was experiencing double vision and moving words. After 6 weeks with Ruth Perrott and Fiona Healey her vision was perfectly normal and we have not had any relapses. Highly Reccommend this team.

My daughter had been told she had 20/20 vision so when she complained of double vision and moving words on the page we were very confused. So was our optician. Someone suggested it could be visual stress which i had never heard of , and recommended Vision Care Development in York. We went to see the friendly team there and they soon diagnosed our daughter has having problems with some of her functional vision - which has nothing to do with intelligence or eye sight. 6 months later after a vision therapy programme, the symptoms had gone. No more double vision etc. Her life has been totally changed by this treatment and I fully recommend it to anyone with vision problems or indeed learning difficulties at school.

Excellent service, Vision Care Development changed my daughter's life. My 7 year old was complaining about double vision and moving words. She has always done well at school and never complained about her vision before. I took her to see Ruth Perrott at Vision Care Development in York where she was examined. Ruth discovered that she had difficulty with convergence and tracking which was causing these problems. She had 20 20 vision - but still needed help with her eye sight. She was prescribed with bi focals which helped a lot and then recommended 6 Vision Therapy sessions with Ruth and their Education consultant Fiona Healey. The sessions were fun and interactive, giving my daughter exercises to do at home which strengthened her eye muscles. After 6 sessions the improvement was immense and she has not complained about the double vision or moving words since. She also does not need to wear her glasses. I highly recommend this clinic if your child is experiencing any kind of eye sight or learning problems.
