I don't usually do reviews but this place has gotten on my last nerve. To start, over two years ago my friend was racially profiled and kicked out of the shop for speaking their home language. I decided to not go to this store ever again due to this. Today I was looking for tteokbokki and my normal shop was out so I went here as a last resort. After looking around for ~10 minutes I decided to ask a worker where it is. She immidiately started huffing and puffing exremely agitated that I needed help. Whatever. we all have those days. She points me to Tapioca pearls and says its here how did you not see this? I said tteokbokki not tapioca. She asked me what that was and I told her it is Korean rice cakes in the shape of a finger. She grunted then pointed me at some mochi cakes? and said these are Korean rice cakes. I disagreed with her and she started speaking with a coworker clearly agitated about the situation. She then says that the Korean section is in the back corner of the store and made me feel stupid for not seeing it. It was a bunch of tteokbokki sauces but not the rice cakes themselves. She walked off. I pretended to look for another 30 seconds before leaving in a rush. It was completely rude and disrespectful behaviour for me to ask for an item in a store I was giving a second chance. Never going again.

Had exactly what I needed (dried seaweed, shitake mushrooms and chilli paste) for a new Korean dish I was trying out - great range and perfectly placed for townie shopping just before you dive into a bar at the weekend π

Few days ago I was charged extra for the item I specifically told the staff that I don't want. So today I went to the shop to ask for refund. The staffs (who were very nice and polite) called the manager and she came and started raising her voice and scolding at her staff in front of me and other customers. She also seems upset that I took few days to come get refund. It makes me feel extremely uncomfortable and makes me feel bad for her staff too having to endure the verbal abuse. So rude and unprofessional. What a horrible way to treat your employee and your customer. It's just a refund it's not that serious. I don't think I will shop there again seeing how the manager threw tantrum like that.
