  Bait and switch. Not to be trusted. Libby agreed to the scope of the project in writing, and provided a quote. We tendered other suppliers and 121’s was the most competitive. Shortly after accepting the quote, we were then told that they could not in fact deliver. Victoria said that since Christmas they had not been able to deliver the service required. And this was in February!

  The service provided by 121 Captions has been invaluable to me when participating in VC or TC which I otherwise struggle with. Booking the service is simple, I have an exclusive link which makes setting up a doddle. The captioners are great, I generally work with a few individuals who are all now pretty familiar with most of the scientific jargon I love to use. They make copies of the transcript available right after the call so I don't need to make any notes at all (and am now very lazy). I love the service provided and am hugely grateful for the support.

  As a university student, 121Captions have provided an excellent service, the quality of their captions are considerably better than other competing providers as they're able to both accurately and quickly transcribe what the lecturer is saying and deal with any unfamiliar language/words that come up in my lectures I highly recommend them to anyone looking for live captions!

  I used 121 Captions to extract what was being said from some muffled video footage and was thoroughly impressed by both the product and the ease of dealing with them as a company. The project was particularly challenging for a number of technical reasons, but the level of detail extracted from the video was fantastic. I had a great point of contact in Tamara, who always answered my questions, provided updates, and was very transparent about the work being done and how we were charged. On that point, I felt the value was fair and I was impressed with the speed with which the work was carried out, considering the painstaking work involved. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

  121 Captions are my Speech to Text (STTR) agency of choice if I need a set provider or haven't the time/energy to engage freelancers. 121 understand the importance of obtaining prep materials for the STTR ops and are always happy to provide advice and guidance about getting the best quality service for new and experienced users alike. They respond quickly to emails. They're also helpful with invoicing issues if things need putting in a different format for funding entities etc. I think the fact the CEO uses STTR herself really shows in their understanding of deaf people's needs.

  121 captions have been amazing since I started my current jobs 7 months ago helping organise both remote and on site captioning. No job was too small or too tricky to manage. They have been amazing as due to the nature of my job there are often last minute conference calls - I have been able to get a conference call scheduled for a call within a hour. When there has been queries around invoices etc 121 have been great in supporting with the access to work processes and advising on the best way to complete the forms necessary to ensure that my company are fully reimbursed the cost of the support. Invoices are sent promptly each month and are clear and easy to understand. Costs are very reasonable too. Due to a regular call work has been done to identify a regular captioneer who can do the slot so there is experience present which makes it easier for both me and the captioner as i work in a technical industry with a lot of jargon I look forward to working with 121 captions for many more years to come :)

  Outstanding service and fantastic value for money: I've always had an impeccable service from 121captions for many years, throughout in my career, with accessible online captioning and transcripts - often available at a short notice. The quality of the captioning is excellent: extremely accurate and almost instant. As I have moved offices a lot, 121captions have worked with all the IT teams of employers I worked for, at no extra charge, just to make sure I could access the service online. Additionally, 121captions staff have received Disability Equality and Inclusive Service training which clearly shows in the pride they take to deliver an outstanding and flexible service to me as a disabled person. I make a point to recommend them to other deaf people I meet because their service has changed my life: thanks to 121captions I can hold senior roles with considerable responsibility, fully confident in the quality of my communication with others. I'm giving them 5 out of 5 stars, but my admiration for them goes way beyond that: thank you 121captions!
