FAQ
What is your experience in handling medical malpractice cases?
As a General Practice Attorney, we have experience in handling medical malpractice cases. While we cannot disclose specific details of previous cases, we assure you that we have the necessary expertise to handle your case. Can you provide references or examples of successful cases you have handled?
Unfortunately, we cannot disclose specific details of previous cases due to confidentiality agreements with our clients. However, we assure you that we have a track record of success and will work diligently to achieve the best possible outcome for your case. Will you be personally handling my case or will it be passed onto another lawyer or junior attorney?
Our firm operates on a team-based approach, so while one attorney may be assigned as the lead on your case, there may be other attorneys and support staff involved in the process. Rest assured, however, that we will ensure that your case is handled by qualified and experienced professionals. How do you handle billing and payment for your services?
We have a transparent billing process and will outline all fees and costs associated with your case upfront. I recently used Anna McKenna and she was fantastic. Anna understood my complex case fully, got to grips with the details and was exceptional with her preparation of documents for my hearing and in the courtroom. Highly recommend.

I used these on Direct Access about 6 years ago. Really good and they also said that i was a 'stellar' client. Whatever that means. Don't bother with them now if you're looking for Direct Access - I made several enquires. They didn't reply.

Had dealings with Laura Moys. She was extremely unprofessional and very rude. Used foul language over the telephone and hung up the phone on me. AVOID. A complete waste of money.

I have used many direct access barristers and are absolutely shocked by the performance of Christopher McCourt. Spent over £20,000 with him. Made a dogs dinner of my case. Failing to address important information in my case. Failing to respond to emails, doesn’t answer a direct question, doesn’t read case points supplied to him and turns up to a court case without copies of important documents. Christopher Mccourt had to use documents from the other side causing confusion to the judge. Missed out on important information in cross examination. He very strangely asked me for a tie for day two of the trial and to do his tie up for him. Very unprofessional. He even lost my personal case documents. I can only find one review of him on 1 kings bench walk chambers trumping him up. A messy barrister. The case is now continuing without him. I wish someone like myself had written a review so I was aware of what I was getting myself involved in with Christopher McCourt. If you are considering using him, please be very weary.
